Nobody can make or break my career’: Rani Mukherjee

Rani Mukherjee really gets upset and ticked off on hearing comments from the media that her career is doomed, following a series of flop flicks. At one point of her career, she was considered the best and unbeatable actress in Bollywood. But fate had different plans for her, thus making people talk about her career being finished. Now Rani is hell bent upon proving her detractors wrong with her new film No One Killed Jessica (NOKJ).

“I feel bad when people say that Rani Mukherjee is finished. My career is already made. Nobody can make or break my career. It is my fans who decided to make me a star. The only thing that will break me is when the love of my audience won’t be there with me and the fact that they don’t want to see me in films,” she is quoted as saying by a news agency.

Her role in NOKJ, is totally different from the one she played in Dil Bole Hadippa. Here she plays a journalist.

“As they (audience) love me so much the least I can do for them is to do a role that is drastically different from my previous film. I want my audience to see a new and different Rani all the time. In my last film (Dil Bole Haddipa) I was a Sardar boy and in No One Killed Jessica I am a journalist,” said the 32-year-old Bengali beauty.

NOKJ is slated to release on January 7. The flick also stars Vidya Balan.
